Community-Agile
Here is the Manifesto for Community-Agile Software Guidance …
We are uncovering better ways of developing, deploying and supporting software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
Knowledge and motivation over sitting togetherCommunity collaboration over in-house development
Integrating contributions over iteration planning
Quality every build over quality every release
That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.
The full paper explaining the values, principles and practices is available here. You can sign the manifesto below by adding a comment stating you agree. To get involved, join the team.
Lovely work Ian, thanks for writing down what we’ve been experimenting with and learning about.
Great work Ian! As Elliot said, thanks for writing down what we’ve been experimenting with and learning about.
Hear, hear!
Oh, to find out all this time I thought I was working, when I was really just participating in an experiment on development practices. It really is a great way to work.
Really great work Ian. It is great to see some of those ideas that most of us experiment in practice to be written down to paper (or e-paper even. 🙂
My God Bless you and your family..
I really like the idea. Let generate some momentum around this initiative and make it more visible and successful.
Would love to see this put into practice more.
Great job! I would really also like to see this gain some momentum. What can we do to help spread the word?
One way to spread the word would be to put together an article and submit it to http://www.infoq.com say.
Great work! This is going to be very useful, and of course, I agree!
what about to post this perfect guide on wikipedia OR ubuntu wiki !? could it be discussed by blueprint?
